The Rok Lox are great, but too tall for the look I'm going for (4.5").

    Re: Tommy's Scaler Build

    Well, it's now a roller!

Of course, I had to remove the green anodized coating from the beadlock rings. I soaked them in Drano and then finished them the way I re-finish my 1:1 aluminum beadlocks: I took a flapper wheel to them to give them a somewhat machined finish. I think they came out pretty nice.

The Hand Brothers 3-link/track bar/servo mount, obviously without a servo yet.

And a very rough idea of what the body will look like on there. It needs to move forward a bit.

But the transmission spur gear is hitting the body so I'll have to address that before mounting it.

With the body centered on the chassis, the tires sit out too far for my liking.

I'll first look to get some wheels with more backspacing, but may end up running TLT axles if I have no luck with different wheels/tires.

    Re: Tommy's Scaler Build

Would it help if you spun the trans around so the spur is facing the other way?

Yeah, it would. I guess then all I'd need to do is wire my motor up backwards, huh?

I have always ran my tranny with spur gear facing foward and never had any issues.
Don't fix it if it's not broke. Now thats just stupid...
