Ask SACCO on rcc... from what I was told, the whole truck was build with parts laying around, guess he didn't have a grill.

good to see some activity from the OGs in here. (ever feel like your talking to yourself? )

im planing on a nice scale event this summer, giveaways, sponsors, BBQ, laid back, maybe even at the lake. so i hope to see one of these rigs there.

sweet eric. also imo the 3racing winch looks 100 times better than the msd

I still have the K5 and most of the Liberty(although in parts). I haven't driven the K5 since late spring 08. The Liberty early summer 08. I'd love to have a reason to get one running again.

Yeah, I want to do something like that. But I'm going to wait till I get the winch and grill.

I gotta figure out how to narrow the grill and how to glue it back together. Still make it clean looking.

Any suggestions on what do with winch and front cross brace ? I most like make a plate and get it mounted and take off the bumper.

nice fj fixing to start building my 1:1 fj... you could make a plate to mount the winch on and the cut the bumper around the winch how you want it...

Looks great with the new wheels and tires.

Remove the HPI bumper, take off the front cross brace, and braze a nice bumper together for it that fits the chassis holes and that you can mount the winch to. That would be my suggestion.

I'm wanting to make over the front, But I'm stumped how to make a mount for the winch and incorporate front bumper. So I'm looking for some suggestions. Sucks that my chassis is alum and not steel.

I like that bumper, and its good to see that you kept that truck.

Take a look at at how @will mounts his bumpers to the scx frame. I'm sure you could do the same.

RCC is down right now. But I think I know what you talking about how he does his bumpers.

This where I become picky. I don't want to hurt my approach angle.I'm not looking for something that sticks way out there. The tighter and cleaner looking the better.
