Heard from Martin, the park is closed, at least the front gate is. He had to walk all the way from the gate to the spot. I think it would be a long walk. How about Abort Hill, or anywhere that doesn't have a gate? I think they just can'tput a gate up so it is up and running all the time.

Me and Martin will be running this Sunday, let us know where would be nice place to run. Drew, Martin lives in Arlington, so anywhere near Arlington is ok. Let us know where you guys want to do GTG. Thanks,

Arlington unfortunately doesn't have much in the way of rocks. At least none that I can find. If you want to try Veterans Park again I think it'd be excellent trail driving with some challenges. I could go out there saturday and scope out a G6 style run if y'all want.

If this is interesting to anyone let me know and I'll post up a map and meeting location. The weather has graciously cooled off however this place still offers plenty of shade and tons of options for terrain. The majority of the rock is in a heavily washed out gigantic hill that leads down to some creek banks that have stepped rocks and whatnot. Make sure you bring some comfortable walking/hiking shoes if we go this route as this park is a couple hundred acres, 30-40 of which are interesting. The "start" of the trails is about a 3-4 minute walk from the parking lot although there is still much I haven't explored. The trail I normally run has tons of options for challenges, many of which I have never attempted and the "finish" is probably 40-50ft higher in elevation than the "start"

Here's a couple examples of the place

What I call "the steps" these seem to be spaced just right to make any RC wheelbase a challenge.

Ya, I also heard it will be raining on the weekend. if not we can do Abort Hill, or veterans park since they both don't have a gate. Let me know what you all think? And Jermey, I am sorry didn't mean to hijack your post, somehow it happened. :(

Feelin pretty miserable still, I think I'm going to try to get over this cold and work on a couple projects rather than drive this weekend. Sorry y'all.
