Ok here we go finally got some parts in for the new setup. Im trying to make this truck just like my dads old mud truck, he has a 79 chevy truck lifted with tsl sx super swampers and a small block 400. This truck was a great part of my childhood so only right i try to make my own.
Heres the parts list
Proline 1980 body (close as i can get to a 79)
1.9 axial wheels
1.9 tsl sx xl (on back order)
Alum chubs and knuckels
Savox servo
Axial servo horn
Alum upper links
Scx10 cms
Mmp esc (still havent ordered)
Tekin 13.5
Metal trans gears
Slash drive shafts
Custom built bumper thats going to be fun to build
And ofcourse its all going to be waterproofed but parts are still coming in i cant wait to get started on this build.

Gonna be a nice rig. Ive got an extra clod grill that may work for the look you want. Be a beast brushless!

6s lol 4s should be like a 1000hp in this thing I bet 6s would give it wings
I almost got a clod body but figured the lexan would last longer with the way I drive but I'll have more parts in next week but Im still missing a big part (esc) so I gotta get one soon. Has any one tried to make there own cms if so how hard was it cuz I think I want to give it a try

Finally got to work on the build. New 100mm shocks esc and all the support mods done. The body is all trimmed and just waiting on the weather to clear up for painting here's a pic of it as of tonight

Very cool. You're making me want an SCX10 pretty darn bad but I have too many projects I need to finish.

This weather needs to clear up, the only acceptable painting conditions I've seen the past week I've been at work :(

You may want to do this mod, I did on my Honcho, and it gives crazy articulation. Drill two holes through the upper plastic and the buttom will it on the axle ash shown on the picuture.

Looking good. I have an 80's blazer body I need to fit when I get the link sizes figured out. Love the old chevies!

New update on the truck I got the bumper done and it turned out perfect I think I'm going to build a rear one next
