Hi all,

My name is Frank, and new to RC Crawing. I live in plano so very close to everyone on this form. I have never went to a RC Crawing meeting and just want to join the club and having some fun. I currently have a CR-01, SCX-10, and Wraith as Crawer. I would love to join your guys on the next meeting or something. Let me know if there is a club rule or anything that I need to follow. And if there is a future meeting soon. I woudl love to get my mint RC dirty. :)

Thank you all,

Frank

Welcome to the forum frank it sounds like you'll fit right in. We normally just post up when we want to go out and you'll normally get a couple of guys to go wheeling with you. The only rule is have a good time thats all we go do
look forward to meeting you out on the trails

Hey Frank - we are not a formal club per se - just a group of guys who like to try to "OUTDO" each other. No rules - nothing formal - like cowboy said - just have some dirty fun.

Keep watching the forums for when someone is going out - but also - dont be shy - if you have a time you can go out - post up so that others can join YOU.

So Welcome.

Billy

 Thanks Cowboy and Billy. Would love to join your out doing and meeting. I don't know where to go first of all. Crawing RC is new to me I did Nitro, Shoft Course, and GAS RC, even RC tank. But Crawer is new to me. Sill have much to learn. Do you have any recommandation where I can find some good course? At least rocks, mudd, and water? Looking forward to see youall.

Frank

Mud and water - boy - you and cowboy are gonna get along great.

I dont do mud or water.

Look on the sticky "Locations". a place called 5 star complex has good crawling. No mud or water though. Murrell Park is the best place but kinda far.

5 Star is right off 121 just past Plano Pkwy exit.

When we went to Arbor Hills a week or so ago it was a little muddy - at the end of our run - I was 2 inches taller.

Be careful at Arbor hills - theres some steep drop offs. EMS would have a hard time getting in there to "carry" you guys out :lol2:

I'll have to sit this one out. No trail friendly motor for the Wraith. Only have a 55T, :lol2: lol.

I can only do on the weekend, unless I take a day off. I do perfer weekend though. But I will try to make it on the weekday. I don't think the rain is going to stop, but I was just thinking about all the mudd created by this rain. Let me know guys, if you all open on weekend.

Thanks,

justin

Where are we meeting again? And all my RC Crawer are 55T. I do have a High Lift with 3 gear just in case it is a trial run. I guess I will bring that too just in case. I will get my RCs water proofed before the weekend.

Not sure - but probably Arbor HIlls.

AH is more of a trail run than a crawling place - although the are a few big rocks up front.

But your right - dont wanna run the trail with a 55t motor or you will be so far behind you'll get lost. Bring some bread crumbs to find your way out:lol2:

I have one. Since I am not 100% sure I will be out there Sunday - are you available tomorrow during the day (I am off)?

Maybe we can meet somewhere and I'll give you the driveshaft. Hopefully you still have the threaded pin that goes through each end.

I am close to 75 and Spring Creek. Collin Creek Mall - Frys on 75 and Geo Bush??

Let me know phone is 214 514 2030.

Saved the day so I'll have a drive shaft and I'll be ready for sunday

Did your old one "Twist"?? If so - you can insert a metal rod or wooden dowel to help. I have some alum rod and will try to get some inserted in there to help prevent the "Twist".

Not to sure what you talking about. The stock driveshafts had to much play and when I switched to a fasted motor it just wore those things out quick

bbking9
01-11-2013, 09:31 AM
You are talking about these - correct ??

Justin,

I will bring one. Got mine for kit, but get a matel one so didn't need the stock DS. I will bring the two piston only don't have the end joint. if that is ok. I will see you tomorrow, looks like the Rain is stopped. I have to also stop by T&T for a 27T motor just in case I will try to install on my Cr-01 for tomorrow. Let me know if those two piston is all you need to fix the two wheel drive.

I think the problem may be that Justin wants one before he gets to Arbor Hlls to run Sunday. I have it all taken care of to get him one today or tomorrow - but if you wanna handle it - go for it.
