I do need to get swampers, but will need to wait. Winch that came with truck doesn't work.

For water proofing I use this

I don't know whats up with it. It 645 with heyok controller. When I hit my switch it does nothing.

I have winch with heyok controller in the taco, tried it on my mog and it work perfect.

Roland told me it worked 2 weeks ago when he had it, he runs a dx3r and said he had to add 66% expo.

On the 4pk I don't think you can add expo on ch3.

I'd try taking it apart to see if the motor seized. Remove the controller then use a 9v battery or something and just test the servo motor. If it spins, then it sounds like a dead controller. It not, I'll look around and see if I have any spare motors I can get to you.

The mog as of tonight. It didn't look like it but it pretty nasty and dirty. The shocks leaked and need rebuilding, the axles are oily and dirty also. I'm use simple green and cleaning everything. I'm also replacing hardware to SS as I go on the chassis.

Yeah it did and still works.

I also tore the trans down see what it had and it totally stock down to outputs. Slowly, I'm going to start with trans and work my way out upgrading what needs.

Nice!
I'm surprised they lasted that long.

I've got steel outdrives and slipper eliminator parts for the tranny.
Just check the drivetrain section of the store:

Eric,

Was your rx coated with Corrosion X? Were you running 4s this past weekend? I saw Steve's H2 on 4s had great low speed control with the BR-XL and I'm wondering how the FXR did since I'm considering the same mod for my Class 2 rig.

Yes my rx was coated in corrosion X. I was running the mog 3s. I wouldn't recommend Fxr on 4s.I ran the taco on 4s at the first comp @ bull creek I thermaled while on course. I been emailing with tekin president it came down to fxr isn't rated for 4s. I would go with br-xl. I will when I can afford it.

Ah yes, the pin holes.
Good way to go if your shafts can accept them.

I've never had any issues with the flat sided ones myself but everyone is different. Course you could always drill em if need be.

Small update. I picked up close cell D.D. foams Eddie back in April. I got 4.5'' medium outters front and softs outters rear. I had to shave inner fronts, since I'm using axial weight ring to fit. You don't want to stretch inner foam over the ring.

http://i850.photobucket.com/albums/ab61/eric1883/Mog1/IMAG0759.jpg

http://i850.photobucket.com/albums/ab61/eric1883/Mog1/IMAG0760.jpg

I also cut down the outters to width of the tire.

I also took some revo push rods I had laying put a slight bend them. I will get some new ones that red so all the links match again. Also with new foams mounted tires don't sag much anymore.

I prefer the pin, don't have to worry about the checking the set screw to see if it came loose. I had it happen so many times, it chew up the steel outputs.

I put a order in from Maddog rc and Lockedup RC. I won a snatch block back in the summer.

Maddog rc I ordered servo winch drum, 2 large hooks.

http://i850.photobucket.com/albums/ab61/eric1883/Mog1/20130109_185744.jpg

Lockedup RC I ordered total 24' of red heavy duty winch line

http://i850.photobucket.com/albums/ab61/eric1883/Mog1/20130109_190748.jpg

I cracked my homemade servo drum. I replaced links with Traxxas turnbuckles.

Shock rebuild time! Starting with rears. Using 60t oil. Using Proline scaler upper dual springs and Stock scx lower springs. Added axial bump stops.

http://i850.photobucket.com/albums/ab61/eric1883/Mog1/20140525_161457_zps5jylemt5.jpg (http://s850.photobucket.com/user/eric1883/media/Mog1/20140525_161457_zps5jylemt5.jpg.html)

Rebuilt the Front shocks. Using 60w oil. Stock scx shock springs top and bottom.

I been using the Traxxas steel push rods. Something I want to try was using Axial bent rod ends. This made more cleaner transition from the skid plate to rod ends. Will see how they hold up.
