06-12-2012, 08:13 PM
Does this help :mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:

06-12-2012, 08:16 PM
Got clearance?

06-12-2012, 08:44 PM
Holy Crap !!!

06-13-2012, 08:43 PM
Got any more work done on it?? What axles you gonna use??

06-13-2012, 09:48 PM
Just finished up the design today. I've gotta cut the skid and electronics tray down and bend some new rear lower links to complete the mock up. This chassis is going to kick azz, can't wait to get it on the rocks. :smokin:

Going to run my bully axles.

06-13-2012, 11:10 PM
Going bodiless??

06-14-2012, 12:58 AM
I'm going with a slammed comp cut truck body.

06-18-2012, 02:57 PM
Looks like it works extremely well! Before you broke it ;~) Guess thats half the fun though.

06-18-2012, 06:11 PM
Yes sir, it sure is or was  We missed you Sunday. Maybe we'll see you at the next run.

06-24-2012, 03:12 PM

I'm diggin it. I still have the template if anyone needs a dope MOA chassis.

06-24-2012, 09:30 PM
I actually thought it should slant the other way !! Wait - I cant tell the front end from the back end!!

Bet you lost some weight with this move !!

06-25-2012, 07:23 AM
So spill it BBking, wutcha got coming to you Thursday?

06-25-2012, 07:33 AM
You want the lowest point on the chassis to be upfront. That way the front tires help get it up over. The rear is what drags, but as you see with the slant belly that's not a problem.

This is what it will look like with the new lower rear links.

06-25-2012, 09:54 AM
damn - thats extreme. What cant you crawl over with that bad boy??? Why not bent links on front as well = maybe not bent like the rears - but bent some??

whats coming is not as wild as the Slant belly - I'll tell ya that.

06-25-2012, 12:57 PM
Thanks Shadow! I might be making a Pink one for my little girl. She's into the RC's more than her older brother.

Spill it BBKing, what did you buy? Guess it dosen't matter anyways, it will be dope.

06-25-2012, 07:32 PM
I havent even got confirmation that the guy has shipped. Supposed to ship today.
Motors arrived today. RPP Hobbies is the best. I ordered late friday afternoon and they arrived today.

06-26-2012, 01:02 PM
Nice what are you planning on running for electronics?

06-26-2012, 04:37 PM
Well the RC4WD motors are out of stock and have been for a while. I got 2 Integy Pro Matrix Lathe motors - 35T. Using the FXR out of my southern buggy, BEC outta my Southern buggy, and Hitec 7954 servo outta my Southern buggy.

I did just buy a brand new Punk Dig 3D on rccrawlers.

06-28-2012, 07:52 AM
Took Slant Belly out for a spin last night. It is a beast. Now I get hung up on the motor can ,Wow!! I'll fix that tonight before hitting Arbor Hills. Hopefully I'll have a nice Video tomorrow.

06-28-2012, 08:27 AM
what are you going to do? put a cover over the can so it will slide? clock the axle/

06-28-2012, 08:47 AM
I'm going take a perscription bottle and cut the ends off it and mount it to the can. Will also clock the rear axle with the new lower high clearance links.

Hey BBking, if your new crawler is running bully axles. You need to make sure every bolt on it has blue Locktite. Any bolt without locktite will back out.

06-28-2012, 02:01 PM
Now why in the world would you think i was running Bully axles?? I would be copying you then !!!

06-30-2012, 02:25 PM
The BULLY HAS ARRIVED. Chassis wont be here till Monday though.

06-30-2012, 02:55 PM

06-30-2012, 08:51 PM

07-01-2012, 12:16 AM
Ouch - that thing is slammed.

I have greased all the gears and loctited every screw on the axles. Waiting on chassis Monday = and the pinions - probably a week away depending on how fast RC4WD ships.

07-14-2012, 10:16 PM

Can't wait to do some testing.

07-14-2012, 10:50 PM
hmm. i see rovers and some xr10 wheels

07-15-2012, 09:52 AM
And two $2 washers.

07-15-2012, 04:54 PM
You are just too creative.

I had to order a solid locking rear diff for the Wraith. Hopefully here end of this week. That motor was spinning the locker inside the diff case !!
Also - got all my links fixed (I hope) - so hopefully a early evening Bully run this week???

07-15-2012, 10:17 PM
How about Thursday we hit the rocks. My new crappy schedule is in affect. I don't get home till late. Maybe 730 at Arbor Hills for some rocks?

07-15-2012, 11:15 PM
Looking good Charles!

07-16-2012, 10:20 AM
Thnx J.H! Are you currently building anything?

07-16-2012, 10:24 AM
Hmm. Ace - I was thinking about an evening run tonight (Monday) around 7:30. I need to get the kinks out of my bully since I extended the links.

Im in for Thursday though as well.

07-16-2012, 10:34 AM
i wont be able to wheel till Thursday. I wish i could make it out today.

07-16-2012, 11:51 AM
Thnx J.H! Are you currently building anything?
Not really.....just tinkering....:lol2:

07-16-2012, 01:32 PM
I bet, how many comp rigs do you have now? I know a sports class, 1.9, 2.2 pro and super mod. I'm sure you have some scalers too. Funny what impact a $39 Walmart crawler can have on you.

07-16-2012, 01:40 PM
After a year & 1/2 of abuse, I think one of the Rc4wd 45T motors is going out. I'm going to carry a spare motor with me and run the damaged mother till she smokes.

07-16-2012, 02:26 PM

Haha. Oh, one or two.

Yeah, I still have that truck and the Tamiya HMMWV that I bought and "crawled" with....:lol2:

07-18-2012, 01:16 PM
Picked up some berg offset rims. Going to run the new rims up front and try out the Xr10s on the rear. The front track width is going to be about 2 1/2 inches wider than the rear, wow. We'll see how it works out.

07-18-2012, 01:24 PM
I doubt you'll like that. Having the rear that much narrower will cause it to flop over on sidehills. I tend to keep my front and rear track widths to within 1/2" of one another.

07-22-2012, 01:24 PM
The narrow rear track width throws me off line. Going to ditch it, as soon as the new rims come in. Thanks for the heads up J.H.

07-22-2012, 10:08 PM
Much better now, can't wait to test them out. The new rims are 1" wide. The tires are much taller now. I think this is going to be a game changer.

08-14-2012, 03:24 PM
Did you say 4S ???

08-14-2012, 03:55 PM
Yes, for a little more punch.

08-14-2012, 04:18 PM

08-17-2012, 04:32 PM
Did u put her on the scale before the operation - so we can get a before and after weight?

08-22-2012, 09:56 AM
On my scale the rig is at 7.2 pounds. I'm hoping I can take a pound off of it. We'll see, stay tuned.

08-23-2012, 04:17 PM
more grinding... Getting closer

08-23-2012, 11:29 PM
Damn, You're gonna make me have to put mine on a diet too!!!

08-24-2012, 03:17 PM
Your rig is perfect, I wouldn't touch anything on it. It is setup really good.

Mine on the other hand, needs alot of work.

08-27-2012, 06:04 PM
The heat sink on the BR-XL fell off, guess the ESC is trying to help me shed some grams too.

09-17-2012, 09:06 AM
Slant Belly has been tore down and is waiting for the rebuild.

09-17-2012, 12:04 PM
Can't wait to see the frogger effect

09-18-2012, 06:24 PM
Slant Belly is going to be down for awhile. It's getting a new chassis, new shocks , 4S Lipo and all new wiring.
