I had this project planned for a while but it always ended up in the back of my priority list. I finally got it going with Shon(R2J Customs) behing the welder. He is using stainless steel tubing to keep the weight as low as possible. This is probably going to replace the Tacoma as my favorite truck! Here is a list of components to be used:

Tamiya YJ body
Losi axles
Losi LCC tranny
Proline Powerstroker shocks
RC4WD 1.9 wheels
Tires- Pitbulls
HH ESC
HH 35t motor
CC BEC
Servo Hitec7955tg
5955 servo winch

DUDE Hugo the YJ looks absolutely badass ass with those tires!!! I think R2J did Rics Hilux tube work, and he has some seriously mad tube skills.

Are the Losi axles gonna stay with this build?

Yes, they eill stay there, I wanted something different and its intended for crawling so they should work. The chassis is being built around the Losi tranny.

Shon (welder) said he should have something this week. I did received the Pitbull tires and mounted them on the wheels.

These tires are sick! I hope Pitbull made a $hit load of them because they will be selling them all, I wish I ordered another set.

Not really, I was hoping to be able to wheel it on the next Comp but I don't think that will happen. Pretty slow progress.
