looking for a hard-body for your next scaler??? make a trip to your local thrift store and you may find what you're looking for.

i picked this up today for $3.99.

now i just need to decide what i want to build with it. "thumbsup"

here are some pics. just the standard scx10 chassis..

http://www.compprocrawlers.com/albums/album118/DSC04317.sized.jpg

for the front mount i used the center aluminum section of the honcho bumper and mounted it to the body post for the velcro.

http://www.compprocrawlers.com/albums/album118/DSC04321.sized.jpg

the rear top, rear lights, and new rings came in so on the JK they go..

i also had thought that the mirrors wouldn't last as they would get drug on the rock so i made some mounts out of cut down rod ends so the could fold in.

To round off the rear. I got with Dave over with DH Fab and ordered up one of his hilux rear bumpers. It's mounted high and close for better departure angles.

added some "rocker guards"

made them from styrene sheet and painted black. bolted them on using 0-80 x 1/8 button heads.

SWEET :smokin:

Those bodies are going for $80 & UP on EPAY :pissed:

I have started going to thrift stores, because I have seen this kind of thing in them in the past BEFORE I got into Scalers! Now that I would like to find one I know I will not stumble on to one until I breakdown and buy one! Then they will come out of the woodwork! :brickwall:
