Some of you will recognize this truck from when it was built by NatalieMorgan, on RCCrawler.com. I am now the proud new owner. I will be making a few changes to it along the way.

Here are the specifics of the rig as it sits today:

* SCX10 Chassis, shocks, transmission, and drive shafts
* Axial axles
* 1.9 Bartos slot mag beadlocks
* 1.9 Flat Iron tires
* Custom tube rocker guards
* Custom front bumper with functional lights and 3Racing winch
* Custom rear bumper with functional tail lights
* Custom styrene interior with detailed dash and rear bed
* Mudslinger spare tire with scale items
* Functional headlights and tail lights (mounted on body)

Here are some pics of the truck.

I got around to taking some pics this evening of the lights in action.

The lights are pretty bright. The door and wall are about 8 feet from the truck.

I finally got a chance to get the Ramcharger out on the rocks for the first time. I must say, it is one fun rig to drive on the rocks. I may change out the motor from a 55T to maybe a 45 or 35T for more wheel speed. I took a bunch of pictures and here they are. I also took Lil Big Tex out with me for some poser shots. Since I was by myself I could not drive both rigs at the same time.

I think I like the bumper lights mounted underneath better. What do you think?

Here is an above the bumper shot for comparison.

I also made a couple 12" tow straps. They are made of 2mm dyneema braided rope with #6 split ring anneaux fendus on each end. I think they turned out pretty nice. It stores nicely on the spare tire holder.

The Ramcharger was in it's first scale comp this weekend at Mike's Hobbies' indoor rock crawling course. For those who are not familiar with Mike's, here is a link to their webcam that shows all the different tracks; http://www.mikeshobbyshop.com/tcmed.htm. Select Start Control. You can select the Rock Crawling view, under Camera, to see the rock crawling course live.

The Ramcharger did fairly well. It came in second in the event despite the driver's inexperience. I will be placing some weight in the tires for better balance. I will also be putting a Holmes Hobbies TorqueMaster BR-XL esc in it, that arrived on Friday. Also be on the lookout for some new shoes on it.

Here are some pics from the event. The Cherokee and FJ45 are completely scratch built. The Cherokee even has a styrene frame. If you would like to see all the pics from the comp, here is the link; http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=285956. Not all scalers pictured participated in the comp.
