I am now the curator of a Jeep JK that I will be using to crawl a few rocks, carry Lil Big Tex's supplies, and overall just having fun with. I did not build this rig. It was created by Urthatgood on RCJeeps.com.

The following is a run down on what was used to build the JK:
- New Bright Jeep JK body
- Generis Custom Metalworks Cross Canyon chassis
- Axial AX10 axles (diffs locked)
- Axial 1.9 Beadlock Wheels
- Axial suspension links
- Pro-Line 1.9 Flat Iron tires
- Junfac drive shafts
- RC4WD R2 transmission
- RC4WD Killer transfer case
- RC4WD Dual Rate Scale shocks
- RC4WD Outcry electronic speed controller
- Novak 55t brushed motor
- 3Racing 1/10 scale winch and controller
- Custom made styrene front bumper
- Rear bumper spare tire carrier

I have yet to buy a radio or battery for the rig. I should be getting those in the next day or two. It came with some Axial wheels with 1.9 Pro-Line Flat Irons mounted. I immediately replaced them with the DNA Assassins and Rok Loxs I already had in my bag. I also have some other changes in store for the JK. I will be going with a stronger more durable front bumper, replacing the rear bumper and spare tire carrier, and also adding some side bars to help protect the body. I will also be adding some scale accessories along the way. I will also be placing an order for some Jeep emblems from ScaleOffroad.com. Of course lights are a must, so they will be added at some point. Well enough of my plans for now, on to the pics. I hope you don't mind me posting a "few pics".

That RC4WD Killer transfer case is so sexy. I hate the body has to cover it up.

I woke up early this morning so I decided to place some grill material on the JK. The grill material is actually aluminum clay mesh used in clay art. I painted it black. Here are a couple of pics.

The winch is not mounted to the bumper. That is why the winch connection is visible.

More updates coming.

Looks like a nice truck.

Is this the rig you are using for the Murrel Trophy?

Yes, my girlfriend will be driving this one. I now need to find a 1/10th scale purse and baby seat.

That came out tight... Whats your wheelbase at.

Tremelle

The wheelbase is currently at 320 mm. I need to extend it 330 mm to center up the rear wheels.

Took the rigs out crawling today. I shot some video and took a few pics.

Here is a 7 minute compulation YouTube video I took from Sunday's crawling.

Here are a few pics. I did not take as many pics as normal since I was trying to get video and this was my girlfriend's second time holding a controller. So I was having to talk to her the whole time about driving.

After the run on Sunday, I came home and painted the links to get rid of the red. Here is how it turned out. It does make the JK look better, as if I did not know it would.

My package from RC4WD arrived yesterday. I will be making a change to the front and rear bumpers. I have not mounted them permanently as of yet. I will have to change the body mounts due to the new bumpers. On to the pics.

I have not decided how I want to finish the rear end around the bumper. Should I leave the original bumper ends or cut them off and trim the rear fender?

I still think you should have let me make you some :) but it looks good. I'd say cut off the edge of the bumper, and a tiny bit of the flare, and use styrene to fill.

I seriously thought about getting you to make me a pair of bumpers. I also saw in a post on your Bronco build where you had been busy with work and not having much time to work on your own rig. I just went the easy route and bought manufactured bumpers.

I picked up some shackles for the bumpers today. They are stainless steel with a 5mm opening. The RC4WD bumpers are constructed with shackle mounts. Here are a few pics.

I finally came up with a stable body mounting solution for the JK body onto the Cross Canyon frame. I used some 7x45mm Axial posts. They were the perfect fit. I got the mounting solution after looking at the RC4WD Gelande. I will be painting the post black soon.

I had been contemplating sliders to spare the body from some rock damage. Well I decided against using sliders and fabricated a "slider" bottom. I also decided to see how my CAC wheels would look on the JK since I had the camera out.

How do these wheels look on the JK?

Can you see the flat bottom? It sits flush with the edge of the body. The front and trailing edges have been rolled a bit so not to hang on the rocks.

What is the cost of your Warn decal sheets? Is one sheet good for one winch or two?
