    got a few things done

i started drilling out some axial CVDs for 1/16" gunner pins, and in the process snapped a drill bit off in the inner barrel making them useless
so had to go back with stock dog bones.

also i was swaping out knuckles, from RCP high clearance to VP zero ankro
but ran into major issues. the screws didnt like up well and when i forced them on the axle would'nt spin, and the steering was VERY tight and hard to swivel. took me two evenings to figure out but finally saw that the dog bone was actually bottoming out in the drive cup of the stub shaft.
so took my drill bit and added some clearance. problem solved finally.

    started on the body mods
removed the grill and found a Ford Raptor underneith

got some rough cuts on the body done. not much left of it.

    my stealth radar looking boatsides:lmao:

    thats it for now.

    small update

got the tube bed made. i used the chassis as a jig to braze it up to make sure it was perfectly true and symetrical.

then i cut the chassis off around it

next i hacked up the bed to reinstall it.

i drew up this bumper and had it machined. since i hacked the headlights off the body i put two holes for 10mm LEDs.
after seeing it on the truck im not sure i really like it, but it will have to do i guess.

got a few more small things done

    got a simple interior started

this morning i built this T-case. i must say im kinda proud of it

getting the wheels ready, weighted and added mayhems new foam supports.

tore down the chassis and painted it. also finished up the tube bed, added a couple supports and re-did the shock mounts. before i had a tube going all the way across with thread-all inside. the thread-all was too soft and bent imidiatly, so i cut the center of the tube out and just threw-bolted them. much stronger now. also cut some lugs off the claws and swaped to black rings and stainless hardware on the wheels.
