Re: Patricks SCX10 ... 20" blades on the HUMPALA

After the pictures last night I also got the gas tank mod done.

And I should point out the tires are not fully mounted on the wheels. I mounted the face of them then tucked the other half into the wheel, so they actually stick out more than they will in the end. Hopefully once I do the 4 link/3 link they will tuck in even more while flexing. Even if they don't, I think it's fairly scale looking to have the poke out the sides a bit for an H2 on 40's that are roughly 15" wide.

I ordered some Rok Lox too. We'll see if those end up being feasible ...

Lookin' good, P! Although, those back seat passengers are really going to have to watch their feet! ;)

Got any pics from the front/rear so we can get an idea how the track width works on that body?

Yes ... that is the baby grinder.
I'm planning on covering that with styrene and just making it look like a tranny hump or like there is an ice chest sitting there or something.

Will take some pics of the track width once I get the tires fully mounted and all. I also may try to shave the hexes a little more but they are pretty narrow as is. Maybe I can narrow the wheels too.

No, don't make it a tranny hump. Make it a center console for the back seat with a PS3 or a wide screen LCD or something.

    Minimal update from me tonight.
    http://www.noeither.com/rc/pictures/200 ... 11-091.htm

First you'll see the electronics box/gas tank mod.

Then you'll see my bling golden rock rings on the black chrome wheels.

I had a set of black chrome wheels already, which is why I had the black rings to put on my silver rims.

To turn my green rings into gold I used my torch technique. On the back side I burnt them a little more and they started to brown up a bit. I took comparo shots in case yall want to try the same thing. The smaller rings were torched longer and look more bronze than gold.

Anyway, I don't think I like the black rims with the gold rings. When I get back Sunday night I'm gonna try the gold rings on the silver wheels. Might look ghetto or great ... who knows!

I also took a bunch of shots down the side so you can get an idea of how far things stick out. The more I look at it the less I think I need different wheels, especially if I grind the shoulder off the tires like Tommy did.

The rings dont look bad next too the chrome center cap in your pic, put them on the chrome rims I think they would fit the body good..
Don't fix it if it's not broke. Now thats just stupid...
